Peace.

As we journey through life, our experiences shape our perception of emotions. One such emotion is peace, which has taken on a new meaning for me. What brought me happiness in the past may no longer serve the same purpose.

Peace, for me, is a state of mind that I strive to maintain. However, it can be challenging at times. Years ago, I found joy in the freedom of leaving my authoritative surroundings and exploring the world around me. I made some mistakes along the way, and my lack of discernment led me into a storm that battered my soul.

Today, my outlook on life is different. I still live audaciously but with guidance and prayer through my faith. My peace comes from knowing that I have learned and grown from my experiences.

Instead of one big moment of happiness, I find joy in the little things that make life beautiful. Peace is the island that has greeted me, the ocean waves crashing against the rocks, the animals I care for, the children I've raised, and the forgiveness I've given myself and others.

I will continue to live life boldly and make choices that may seem crazy because... life is short.

My deepest desire is to heal wounds with my family, have adventures, serve others, love again, share my life with someone special, and live in peace.

Take Action: Write a list of your deepest desires. Let God know you are ready to release your fears, frustrations, and what-ifs and that you are ready for peace in every part of your life.

In His Hands: Peace I leave with you; and peace I give you. -John 14:27
