What is an essential oil?
If you have ever enjoyed the scent of a lemon tree blooming in springtime, you’ve experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant.
Essential oils give plants their distinctive smells, essential oils protect plants and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their beautiful fragrance, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices.
Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single essential oils or in complex essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit.
Why doTERRA?
I have personally used many brands of essential oils for over 30 years but it wasn't until 2014 that I got the inner calling to understand more about how essential oils can be used to support our physical and emotional well being.
By 2018, I knew that I wanted to jump in and share my passion for essential oils with my friends and family. When I heard the words "wellness advocate" in my first doTERRA meeting, I knew I had found my wellness peers and everything that I have learned and experienced with the doTERRA family since that first meeting has continued to support my focus on recommending and using top quality certified professional therapeutic grade oils and working with really inspiring and good people! -Tiffany

Then about two weeks later after using my first oils and attending my first up-line meeting, I knew that I wanted to become a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. It has been my passion for the last 30 years to help others find natural solutions to their health, wellness, and emotional challenges and I quickly realized that doTERRA was a perfect match for me!
